Public Liability Insurance

Yes, all applicants are required to have Public Liability Insurance or be covered.

$20 million

You may be eligible to be covered under Mackay Regional Council's Public Liability insurance. Please apply, and we will be in contact with you to follow up and provide you with further information.

Food Permits

Yes, you will need to acquire a food permit if accepted as a food vendor or market stall holder selling cooked/backed edible items.

You do not need to complete anything as long as you hold a current food business licence with any council in Queensland.

If you are a regular market stall holder you may already hold a current annual temporary food business licence with Mackay Regional Council. If not, and you’re applying as a one off, you will need to apply for a one day/one off event permit. A fee will be required.

You will need to complete a Notification of Non-Profit Organisation Food Event form. No fee will be required.

If your application is accepted, we will then require you to provide the form/permit.
