Have a Whale of a Time!

Mackay is a fairly new location on the whale watch location calendar, offering tours and charters to catch the annual migration of the Humpback Whales, Southern Right Whales, and the Longfin Pilot Whales. You can either charter a boat, or spend an afternoon at the whale watching platform at Lamberts Beach.

This year is expected to be a good year for whale watching as there is expected to be more humpback whales travelling along the coastline than there has been since the middle of the last century. View Media Release
