The MECC is dedicated to ensuring your experience is a safe one. All events held at the MECC will follow Queensland Government Stage 4 COVID guidelines and the approved Queensland Live Performance, Venues/Theatres - Approved COVIDSafe Industry Plan.
COVIDSafe Ticketing Terms and Conditions
IMPORTANT: Please read the COVIDSafe ticketing terms and conditions here, which are in addition to our standard terms and conditions, prior to purchasing your tickets.
We ask that you do not attend your event if:
The safety of you and your friends is our priority, we will refuse entry to anyone who we feel impedes on this safety.

Book together, sit together - safely and physically distanced
Due to physical distancing requirements, seating will be allocated based on the size of the group, time of booking and set venue configuration.
We encourage purchasing your tickets online or via phone wherever possible. Paper tickets will not be printed at any time. Tickets will be issued in a digital, PDF format and will be sent by email to the ticket purchaser, not to each individual.

At the time of booking, you will be asked to provide the full name, mobile number and residential addresses of everyone in your group.
Where do I enter the venue?
To alleviate crowding, we now have allocated entrances to the venue, as well as door numbers. Please check your ticket carefully for your allocated entrance and door number. See the map below to get familiar with new names for our entries and spaces or open it here.

We’re open earlier
Doors to the foyer spaces will now open 90 minutes prior to the event to allow for staggered ingress.
Maintain social distancing
Keep 1.5 metres away from others where possible. Stay in your social group, including when arriving and departing the venue and when queuing.
Contactless payment only
No cash will be accepted at the box office or at the MECC café/bar.
Have your ticket ready
Have your ticket ready on your phone or print at home ticket ready for scanning.
Follow instructions from staff
Please follow instructions from staff, so we can continue to present shows in the future.
We have a systematic cleaning and disinfection schedule, including a fogging machine which sanitises seating. We are a certified COVID Clean practising business.
Additional bars = easy purchasing
Two additional bars will be open for your convenience. These bars are located on the mezzanine levels at Door 2 and Door 4.
Enjoy a bite at the show
Individual platters and kids’ meals* are still available to pre-order and collect at the event. A selection of food items will be available to purchase from the MECC café, which can be consumed in designated areas, including at your assigned seat in the Auditorium. *Selected shows only.

Good hygiene is in your hands
Hand washing facilities and hand sanitiser is provided at multiple stations throughout the venue.
