The MECC presents The 7 Sopranos - Celebrating Christmas

Next date: Thursday, 17 December 2026 | 07:30 PM

It will be a night of dazzling and festive high glamour as The 7 Sopranos enchant you with music and operatic elegance as they sing your favourite Christmas songs from the nostalgic charm of Jingle Bells and Let it Snow to the serene beauty of Silent Night and Oh Holy Night.

This highly successful group of professional young opera and music theatre singers, whose combination of breathtaking voices, high glamour and sophistication have been wowing audiences across Australia and Internationally for a decade. Their self-titled debut album, released by ABC Music, went to the top of the ARIA charts. Their second album Popcorn, Songs From Stage and Screen garnered over a million views for their music video released on YouTube, Keep Young and Beautiful.

The 7 Sopranos is the brainchild of Artistic Director, Tarita Botsman – who had the idea of creating a walking, breathing, living operatic production with seven singers – the result has kept The 7 Sopranos in high demand with rave reviews.
They have been labelled “Sexy, sophisticated and sublime”, “Ridiculous, just so good, astonishing”. “Stunning vocal and visual fireworks” The Standard Hong Kong

“Stunning to the ears and eyes” The Courier Mail
“ Like 7 sails of the Sydney Opera House – The 7 Sopranos are Australia’s greatest voices.” Dawn French Audience members will be thrilled by the spectacular vocals of The 7 Sopranos voices as they combine to bring joy to this year’s Christmas season.
