Join International Dance Affair for an unforgettable evening of entertainment as our talented performers take over the MECC stage!
From the excitement of our youngest performers taking their first steps into the spotlight, to the confidence and artistry of our Senior performers, this spectacular showcase is a sheer celebration of passion, dedication and talent.
Audiences can look forward to an exciting program filled with award-winning performances, vibrant costumes and an impressive array of genres; including magnificent Irish Dancing and Baton Twirling, to the energy of Hip Hop, Acrobatic Arts and Jazz, to the elegance of Contemporary and Ballet and the rhythm of Tap.
With routines recognised at State, National and International levels, there will be plenty to impress, inspire and entertain!
Adding to the excitement, we are thrilled to welcome Piping MaD as special guests, alongside performances from our talented Premier Highland Dancers.
Come along, bring your family and friends and celebrate the wonderful talent of Mackay’s community. It’s an evening not to be missed!
Food Boxes
Make your experience complete and enjoy one of our delicious boxes.
Our boxes are available to pre-order online and limited boxes will be available to purchase pre-show, until sold out. To avoid disappointment, please pre-order.
- Trio of Dips Box (serves one) $14
Enjoy house made dips served crudites, tortilla chips.
- MECC Charcuterie Box (serves one) $29
A selection of 3 cheeses, cured meats, house made tomato jam, lavosh crackers, house pickled vegetables & fruit.
- Dessert Box (serves two) $19
A selection of sweet treats and fruit.
Pre-order cut-off
Boxes only available to pre-order up to 10am the day prior to event. If event is on a weekend pre-orders close at 10am the Friday prior.
Buy at the event
Limited boxes will be available to purchase at the event from the retail café until sold out.
Collection at the event
Boxes will be available for collection 60 minutes prior to event from the ground floor retail café, near the coffee station (closest to Theatre doors 3 & 4). Food can be taken into the Theatre.

Accessibility

Wheelchair access
Wheelchair seats/spaces are available for all events. These seats/spaces can be ordered online or via the Box Office. All MECC carparks are fully accessible.
Hearing receivers
Hearing receivers are available in the Auditorium and a Hearing Loop is available in the Plenary Halls. To access this equipment, enquire at the Box Office during the event.
Companion cards
Companion card holders are entitled to a complimentary companion ticket to all performances/events, tickets can be ordered online or via the Box Office. The cardholder must provide their Companion Card details when making a booking.
