Two key drawcards set for Wine and Food Day

OVER 1000 festival goers who bought tickets to see the scheduled Bobcat Ballet performance last weekend will be pleased to know the show will go on tomorrow (Saturday, July 23) at the G&S Engineering Wine and Food Day.

The performance unfortunately cancelled last weekend due to wet weather will no longer have a cloud hanging over its head with beautiful sunshine and weather leading up to Saturday’s event at Queens Park, East Mackay.

The unique event directed by local Angela Chaplin will hit audiences with a show stopping performance of grace and power as bobcats, skidsteer loaders and excavators gyrate, pirouette and dance in time to music.

Joining the Bobcat Ballet on the weekend will be members of the Mackay Fitness and Dance performing cheerleading displays – come on down and support the kids!

The performance is scheduled to start from 12noon on the Rugby League grounds located at Queens Park. Bobcat Ballet is proudly sponsored by Bluescope Lysaght and Pacific Brands.

Also on Saturday, will be the announcement everyone has been waiting for – the Fiji holiday competition winner as part of the 2011 Mackay Region Festival of Arts.

All festival goers who booked tickets before July 1automatically went into the draw for a Fiji Holiday which includes four nights in a four star accommodation, for a family of four!

Thousands of people have been entered in the draw as a result of ticket purchases and the winner will be announced just after 12noon at tomorrow’s Wine and Food Day.

Note: Terms and conditions apply for the competition and the winner does not have to be present at the draw.
